F1 Canadian Grand Prix: Red Bull were bizarrely left waiting to enter garage by routine police sniffer dog search

Red Bull’s victory celebrations at the F1 Canadian Grand Prix took a strange turn when they were prevented from entering their garage due to a routine police sniffer dog search.

Max Verstappen raced to vi𓆉ctory in Montreal ahead of Ferrar💖i’s Carlos Sainz and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, although his teammate S🍨ergio Perez failed to finish amid reliability issuesꦺ.

But after the champagne 🧸was popped on the podium, Red Bull employees found themselves lingering around and unable to enter their🔯 garage to pack up.

Ted Kravitz reported for Sky Sports: “The team were not allowed back into the garage after the podium because there was a sniffer dog an𓆏d a policeman in there!”

He asked employees: “Are they still here? No, they are no🐬t.

“Did you see the sniffer dog and the policeman?

“You couꦍldn’t go back into the garage💎. It was weird.”

Kravitz jok🐭ed: “Was the sniffer dog looking for cans of Red Bull? Did 🉐he find any?

“Canadian sniffer dogs can obviously find explosives, drugs and sickly ꩵsweet fizzy drinks with lots of sugar and caffeine🌃! Canadian sniffer dogs are clearly very talented.”

The routine check🌠 quickly passed and Christian Horner's team were able to begin packing their belongings ahead of a two-week break꧂ before the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

But Kravitz did say: “It 𒆙was a strange time f🍒or Canadian police to come round with a sniffer dog.

“They could loo💫k for whatever it was in Sergio Perez’s gear box that went kaput!”
