Webber has final leg operation

Mark Webber believes that he has now had the last operation he will ♔require on the leg he broke during the 2008 edition of his eponymous adventure race.
The Australian, who joined an all-star field for the 2012 edition of the race two weeks ago, had the final piece of supporting metalwork removed from his right leg during a planned operation on Friday, and is🍬 now resting up ahead of his 2013 season preparations.
"Hospital trip planned a while back," the 36-year old confirmed on Twitter over the weekend, "I needed further surgery from previous injury. Allꩵ good and on the mend."
A subsequent tweet showed the baܫndaged leg complete with the rod that was removed during the operation.
൩"Home and feeling great," Webber🍌 wrote, "Last bit of metal out of my lower leg. Feeling lighter already."
Having made enough of a recovery to be able to compete in the 2009 F1 season - his first alongside Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull - Webber raced with the metal𝔍work in his leg throughout his 2010 title bid and both the subsequent 2011 and '12 campaigns. He will return to the Red Bull line-up for 2013, having inked another one-year extension to his deal during the summer.
