'Speed bumps' have been added to Turn 2 of the Sochi Autodrom in an effort 🐼to deter drivers from running wide without losing time ahead of this weekend's Russian Grand Prix.

The tight right-hander occurs at the end of a long home straight and f🧸lat turn one kink and has been the scene of incid🤡ents under braking on lap one in previous years, including contact between Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and home favourite Daniil Kvyat.

However, it has also seen drivers take to the wide run off before re-joining ahea🌃d of the long turn three left-hander, with only minimal loss of time and speed, prompting the FIA to act.

As such, 50mm 'speed bumps' have been positioned three metres away from the track edges from the turn two and run up to turn three in an effort to deter drive🦋rs from taking liberties with the run-off.

Of particular concern in previous years with 🍬the turn two exit is the speed with w꧒hich drivers re-join at turn three, despite the implementation of a 'path' drivers must follow before returning to the circuit.

Additional changes to the Sochi Aut💛odrom include improvements to the TecPro barriers at Turns 2, 4 and 13.
