The test, which was due to have been comple🍬ted prior to the summer test ban, was delayed as the team had to run Nicolas Kiesa, Justin Wilson's replacement, in order for him t🃏o get a super-licence. Wilson left Minardi, after securing a drive with Jaguar.

"The test should have happened already," explained Stoddart, "we were ready to go but, when we did the driver swap with Nicol൩as, I had to use the one and only test I could get 🙈away with for his super-licence."

The A23 scored two world championshi🐈p points last year and was designed by Mike Coughlan, who has since moved to McLaren-Mercedes.
