Winslow one point from title glory.
Britain's James Winslow needs just a single point from the 𝐆final round of the Formula V6 Asia series to claim the c𓄧hampionship title at Zhuhai.
The Opes Prime Team QI-Meritus driver qualified second to series interloper - and former GP2 driver - Hiroki 💝Yoshimoto and wisely decided not to chase victory once the Japanese driver established himself at the head of the race.
With Yoshimoto holding an F1 sup🔯erlicence and thus unable to score points, the tactic proved fruitful as Winslow added a victory haul to the bonus for pole, also taking fastest lap for good measure.

The weekend is being billed as a head-to-head between the Briton - last season's As♛ian F3 champion - and closest rival Armaan Ebrahim, but Winslow had the Indian's measure in race one. Ebrahim compleꦡted the podium trio, but crossed the line two-and-a-half seconds adrift of the Meritus man.
