Carlin Motorsport has completed its line-up for the new British F3 International Series with the signing of Icelandi🌼c teenager Kristijan Einar.

The 19-year-old will join Andy Meyrick 🧸in the second National Class car entered by the multiple title winners, who make a return to the 'second tier' of the series for the first time since 2006 during the coming campaign.

Einar, a former karting champion in his homeland, has competed in a wide range of machinery since moving into cars having previously driven in Formula BMW, Formula Renault and Formula 3 and will be 𒊎competing in the UK for the first time in 2008.

"I'm thrilled to be racing in British F3 this year and with Carlin Motorsport," Einar, who will test at Pembrey this week, said. "The supporꦚt the team have given me throughout my test programme has been fantastic, and I have already been able to form a s🐼trong relationship with my engineer.

"I'd like to thank the team and my sponsor SALT Investments for this opportunity to compete in one of the world's most prestigious single-seater championships. I'm aiming to reward their faith in me with some exciting racing this seas✱on, which🍌 will see us fighting for the National title."

Carlin's commercial director Steve Hollman said the team was pleased to have signed the youngster for the season 🌳ahead, adding that confidence was high that he will be on the pace when the season kicks off at Oulton Park.

"Kristjan has really impressed the team so far with his progress in testing," he said. "He has been able to adapt quickly to each race car and consistentl🔜y improve his lap times following debriefs with his engineer.

"His time in the Toyota Raci𒆙ng Series earlier this year [where he was engineered by Carlin] has kept him race fi🎃t and I'm confident he will be on good form ahead of the first race in March."
