Audi and Niss♛an have offered a first glimpse of what the new 'Gen2' Formula E car will look like in racing colours following its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show on Tue💙sday.

Following a render launch at the end of January, Formula E took the covers off the physical Gen2 chassis in Geneva ahead of the first on-tr🔴ack testing of🦂 the new car, set to take place in the coming months.

Audi and Nissan followed the formal launch by showing what the car 🌱may look like in their liveries. The Audi adopted the current colours of its Season 4 car, while Nissan la🌊unched its car in a concept livery.

"We were all excited to see the new Formula E car,” Audi Formula E team boss Alꦍlan McNish said. “It looks breathtaking, especially with Audi’s livery. Equally impressive is the technology inside the race car. Here the Gen-2 car is making another huge step forward compared with the first-generation Formula E ♒car."

Nissan will make its Formula E debut in Season 5 when it takes over the entry of three-time teams' champion Renault e.dams by virtue of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, marking the Japanese manufacturer's first strideꦺ into electric racing.

"Nissan is bringing a lot to the table with our expertise in EV technology for the road and bringing it to the race track. The level of competition in the Formula E championship is on the rise and we’re eageꦺrly awaiting the unique engineering challenge ahead," said Michael Carcamo, global motorsport director for Nissan.

"We're entering the championship o🌌n a level playing field this year with every manufacture🌃r competing with a brand new car, battery and powertrain combination from season five."
