Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has revealed he is working on a second book about his time in F1.

Steiner, who departed Haas after the A꧟merican team opted against renewing his contract for the 2024 season, published his first book last year.

‘Survivi🧜ng to Drive’ was written as a diary of the year and took ꧅readers inside Haas’ rollercoaster 2022 season, selling 150,000 copies.

Now, Steiner,♛ whose popularity has skyrocketed in recent years thanks to Netflix’s Drive to Survive series giving him cult status, has confirmed a ✨second book is in the works.

The book was already🐬 planned prior to his exit from Haas, and Steiner joked the st🌠ory “maybe changes a little bit” now.

“We are worꦡking on the second book at the moment,” Steiner told .

“That was planned already before [leaving 🌱Haas]. Now, obviously, the stoꦫry maybe changes a little bit!”

Steiner insists that the time he spent on his💦 first book, alongside his TV stardom, did not take his focus aw꧑ay from Haas.

"I think people are overrating that, how much distraction that is, because it isn't actually a lot of distraction from t💞he daily job,” he explained.

“Obviously on the race weekends, you need to work more. But for exampl💛e, I didn't have 20 [sponsor] appearances a weekend, I had maybe three maximum.

“It's not like that ꦦis distracting, even writing the book. Obviously, a ghostwriter does it for you.

“Now I've got more time, but even now, we do two sessi💦ons a week of half an hour. We do one on Tuesday and one on Friday. That's all I do, he does the rest.

“You speak with him, but it's not like I spent days speaki♏ng with him. I know that some people have spent days speaking with these peop♎le, but I didn’t.

“I don't think that is a big factor. I think that there were more benefits for♉ the team than anything else about this because th🏅ey got a lot of sponsors."
