While the eyes of the 💦motor sport world were focused on the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500, Ilmor Engineering were busy powering the American Fountain Worldwide/King of Shaves te🔯am to victory at the Italian Powerboat P1 Grand Prix in Naples, Italy.

The br𓆉and new team, created and run by former Autosport Sports Editor and Toleman PR man Chris Witty, is powered by two Ilmor-prepared Dodge Viper marine engines (1250bhp in total) sitting in the back of an Evolution class Lightning 42 hull, which was taken to victory in Italy by British team James Sheppard and Craig ꦿWilson.

They now sit in second place in the champion✱ship having competed in jus🎃t one of the two rounds.

The next round of the P1 series is in German𝄹y at the end of June. We'll keep an eye on this team's progress as they chase championship honours.
