James Thompson had some choice🍨 words about fellow BTCC competitor Anthony Reid at the end of a day of ꦉaction at Silverstone.

After a robust attack for the lead in the early stages of the race from the WSR driver, Thompson had found himself rather sid𝐆eways then falling back through the field as he recovered from the attack for position.

Thompson had enjoyed a fourth place in the first race of the day, followed by a win in the second, placing him on pole for the fourth and final race. Whilst team-mate Yv෴an Muller was sidelined due to oil leakage issues, Thompson wꦆas soon in the clutches of an Anthony Reid that was eager to prove just how fast the combination of himself and the four-cylinder WSR MG can be.

Thompson had already enjoyed some familiar BTCC race banter on track with rivals in the first two races of the day. In the first race it was Thompson a𒁏nd rival Jason Plato demonstrating close competition, with Thompson enjoying the fight.

"For a long time I was side by side with Plato - through the complex, down the straight, round the first corner and down to Becketts - it was gooꦿd. We only had the briefest of touches once. It's good when you know people and can tru𒆙st them and get on with it."

For Thompson and team-mate Hines the harsh realities of🧸 mid-field racing were made evident in the third♐ race, with Thompson coming under attack from Anthony Reid at the start of the race which left him angered by his track tactics.

"The bloke just turned me around and then I just got hit by everybody else🐽," said a far from happy James Thompson. "He's a clown - he should be juggling balls in the circus!"

Not a happy man then? "Yes, I'm pretty cheesed off about it. There were a load of culprits who didn't attempt to overtake, just punt me out the way. Vꦚery frustrating."

VX Racing operations manager Mike Nicholson wasn't a happy man either. "It's a shame that the actions of some drivers tainted the third race," he said. "There are certain drivers out there, who, no matt🌊er how experienced they may be, don't seem to be able to overtake anybody unless they hit them off. There's some old ones and some new ones. I think it's absolutely outrageous. I've never seen such an appalling display of driving manners in my life."

Great to watch from the outside though...
