Brands Hatch Grand Prix: Turkington 'not thinking of title permutations'

Subaru's Colin Turkington has maintained it would be counterproductive to start thinking of possible title permutationsꦚ despite reducing the margin to British Tour🐬ing Car Championship leader Sam Tordoff at Brands Hatch.
The Subaru Levorg driver was in imperious form during the opening race after controlling the 16-lap encounter🥃 with ease ahead of Handy Motorsport's Rob Austin.
As a result, Turkington has significantly re♐duced Tordoff's championship margin to 20 points while also leaping ahead of Mat Jackson and Andrew Jordan to fifth in the standings.
"My mentality ꦏremains the same as it has done all weekend. I'm not trying to think about winning the thing I'm just trying to enjoy the weekend and deliver my best performance. I can't start thinking about the permutations because I'm still on the outside," said Turkington.
"Any other given weekend, 20 points is still a lot to give over against four other drivers. I'm jus🤡t going to focus on the next race."
As virtue of winning the opening race, Turkington will carry 75 kilos of su♏ccess ballast in race two but the Ulsterman is the confident the balance𓄧 of his Levorg will soften the blow.
"It's going to be slow🦹er but its relative. The guys around me will have weight too and ꦅwe've coped quite well with weight before at Oulton Park and Croft. If you start with a good balance and put weight on you can manage it easier. We should be OK."
