Brands Hatch Grand Prix: Turkington 'not thinking of title permutations'

Subaru's Colin Turkington has maintained it would be counterproductive to start thinking of possible ti♔tle permutations despite reducing the margin to British Touring Car Championship leader Sam Tordoff at Brands Hatch.
The Subaru Levorg driver was in imperious form during the o🐬pening race after controlling the 16-lap encඣounter with ease ahead of Handy Motorsport's Rob Austin.
As a result, Turkington has significantly reduced Tordoff's championship margin to 20 points while a♔lso leaping ahead of Matꦉ Jackson and Andrew Jordan to fifth in the standings.
"My 🅷mentality remains the same as it has done all weekend. I'm not trying to think about winning the thing I'm just trying to enjoy the weekend and deliver my best performance. I can't start thinking about the permutations because I'm still on the outsi♊de," said Turkington.
"Any other given weekend, 20 point🧸s is still a lot to g🍷ive over against four other drivers. I'm just going to focus on the next race."
As virtue of winning the opening race, Turkington will carry 75 kilos of success ballast in race two but the Ulsterman is the confident the balance of his Lev🐈org will soften the b🐷low.
"It's going to be slower but its relative. The guys around me will have weight too and we've coped quite well with weight before at Oulton Park and Croft.⛦ If you start with a good balance and put weight on you can manage it easier. We should be OK."
