Ferrari has announced Charles Leclerc has joined its Driver Academy in a role that will see him take 🃏on a development role with the Scuderia and also the Haas 💖F1 team.

The Monegasque driver made his car raci🦩ng debut last season in the European Formula 3 Championship, winning a race on his maiden weekend. Three more wins would follow driving the Van Amersfoot Racing car en route to fourth in the overall standings.

Having been confirmed with ART Grand Prix aܫs part of its GP3 effort earlier this week, the 18 year-old will do so wi𒊎th backing from the Ferrari Driver Academy, which will include a development role across both Ferrari and Haas.

He will be joined in the programme by Giuliano Alesi, son♛ of former Ferrari F1 driver Jean, who will also compete in GP3 this year with Trident Racing.

Italian racer Antonio Fuoco and Chinese teenager Guan Yu Zhou arဣe also involved, racing in GP3 and Europea🍸n F3 respectively.
