Manx GP: Stephen McIlvenna suffers fatal injuries

Former Manx Grand Prix winner Ste𓆏phen McIlvenna has been killed following an incident during practice for the Manx Grand Prix.

The accident happened on T🗹uesday evening on the Mountain Mile s✱ection of the 37.73-mile circuit.

Mr McIlvenna was 39 and is from Randa🃏lstown in County Antrim in Nort☂hern Ireland.

A statement 𓂃issued by the Manx Motor Cy🦹cle Club said: "Stephen McIlvenna was an experienced racer who first competed in the Manx Grand Prix in 2005. He won the 2009 Junior Manx Grand Prix. He also competed in the TT Races in 2010.

"Theౠ Manx Motor Cycle Club wish to pass on their deepest sympathy to Stephen's family and friends."

A🅰n investigation into the c👍ircumstances of the accident is underway.
