Jerez II Moto2/Moto3 Test: Lowes shows promise in Spain

Sam Lowes missed out on va💎luable track time at Jerez in Spain as the Speed Up rider suffered tendonitis in his right wrist.
The reigning World Supersport champion finished thirdไ fastest on the opening day of the test on Tuesday but began to experience pain on Wednesday and was advised to skip the remainder of the day on medical advice.
On Thursday, the Lincoln rider rode through the pain barrier to put in five laps with the new S🦹peed Up chassis and almost matched his time from the opening day, which he set on the old chassis.
Lowes admitted he was left frustrated but also enco🍷uraged by his performance at tඣhe beginning of the test as he readies himself for his Moto2 debut in Qatar on March 21.
"Although🐲 it's really frustrating I couldn't complete the test due to tendonitis in my right wrist, I'm really happy with the times and how the bike performed this week," he said.
🦩"The first day was mega and felt awesome; we got some really good times and I was so happy finishing the day in second.
"I only managed five laps today testing the new chassis, but pretty much matched the times of the old chassis so feeling really good," he aꦏdded. "I can't wait to get to Qꦐatar now and start the season properly."
Lowes lap from Tuesday of 1m 42.928s left him in 13🐼th place on the combined time sheets at the end of the test on Thursday, with Japan's Takaaki Nakagami quickest on the team Asia Kalex in 1m 42.206s.
