Moto3: Shoulder surgery for Alex Marquez
Alex Marquez, younger 🌞brother of MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, has undergone shoulder surgery.
The Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider, who cla🎃imed one victory and fourth in th♐e world championship during his rookie Moto3 season, had been suffering from a 'recurring dislocation' of the joint.
During the𒉰 operation at the Hospital Universitario Quiron Dexeus in Barcelꦬona, doctors "stabilised the shoulder by introducing a bone block and reconstructing the anterior shoulder ligaments."
Marquez, who team is s♏witching from KTM to Honda machinery for 2014, will require three weeks of res🧔t.
The decision to undergo surgery was made after Marquez n🦂oted problems in recent months. He had dislocated his shoulder at the Malaysian Grand Pri💯x.
Marquez will again ride al✤ongside 2013 title contender Alex Rins.
