Motorbase returns to British GT

Motorbase Perfomance has confirmed it will expand into the British GT Championship this season alongside its Dunlop MSA British Tไouring Car Championship programme.

𓆉The team - which will run cars for Mat Jackson, Liam Griffin and Aron Smith in the BTCC - has announced plans to run a Porsche 911 GT3R in the GT series, where it previously competed prior to the move into touring cars.

"Porsche is a tried and trusted brand," team boss David Bartrum said. "It is familiar ground, but the car is stepping up a league. ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚIt is a new challenge, but we're going back to something we're used to doing.

"Daniele has already done some GT racing in Europe and Michael has a strong heritage in GT racing. He competed at Le Mans for TVR and raced Porsches with Mike Jordan. Daniele has now 💙learnt the British tracks during his Carrera Cup campai🎐gn last year.

"We understand🐎 the car and it is a💖 product we know and love."

The announcement comes after Motorbase withdrew from ꧟the Porsche Carrera Cup for the 2012 season.
