Motorbase returns to British GT

Motorbase Perfomance has confirmed it 🐟will expand into the British GT Championship this season alongside its Dunlop💖 MSA British Touring Car Championship programme.

The team - which will run cars for Mat Jackson, Liam Griffin a🌄nd Aron Smith in the BTC✱C - has announced plans to run a Porsche 911 GT3R in the GT series, where it previously competed prior to the move into touring cars.

"Porsche is a tried and trusted brand," team boss David Bartrum said. "It is familiar ground, but the car is stepping up a league. It is a new challenge, but we're going back to something we're used to doi🌺ng.

"Daniele has already done some GT racing in Europe and Michael has a strong heritage in GT racing. He competed at Le Mans for TVR and raced Porsches with Mike Jordan. Daniele has now learnt the British tracks during his Carrera Cup c♎ampaign last year.

"We understand t🐎he car and it is a product we know and love."

The ꦿannouncement comes after Motorbase withdrew fro🅷m the Porsche Carrera Cup for the 2012 season.
