Aoyama to miss Dutch TT

Hiroshi Aoyama w🦹ill miss the impending Dutch TT, round six of the MotoGP World Championship, after it was confirmed he fractured his vertebra in his fall at Silverstone.

The Japanese ride🧸r high-sided from the Interwe🌺tten Honda during warm-up for the British Grand Prix and was taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a fracture of the T12 vertebra.

Currently still in hospital, a second CT scan was performed Monday morning, which confirmed the injury had not worsened overnight. D🐲octors have informed Aoyama that he can return home to Barcelona on Tuesday in order to seek a second opinion.

In the short-term, Aoyama will not race at Assen this weekend, although it remains uncl🍎ear how long he will be absent from competition.

Interwetten Racing is one of only two teams to have competitors in all three classes of grand prixไ racing with Ma๊rcel Schrotter in 125cc and Thomas Luthi in Moto2.
