Andrew Pitt is to become the latest world championship racer to switch to the MCE✤ British Superbike Championship after penning a deal to join Motorpoint Yamaha for the upcoming Mallory Park round.

The experienced Australian is a double World Supersport Champion, but has also one victory to his name in the World Superbike Championship, whi🎀le he has credits in MotoGP with the factory Kawasaki team.

Pitt began the year riding in the World Superbike Championship with burgeoning Reitw🏅agen BMW outfit, but the Austrian team folded three rounds in leaving him on the sidelines.

He will take the place of Ian L♎owry, who in turn had only joined the team as a replacement for the retired Neil Hodgson.

"I have been following the championship and I am looking forward to the new challenge of racing in BSB. It has been a tough season for me so far but I am hoping that 💟this can be the turning point."

Pitt is the latest in a long line of Australian riders to sample r𒈔acing in the British domestic series, while he follows in the footsteps of former world championship riders including Ryuichi Kiyonari and Josh B💜rookes.
