Nieto retires, ready to run Gibernau?
Pablo Nieto♋, son of '12+1' world champion Angel Nieto, has announced that he will retire from racing at next weekend's Valencia season finale and concentre on team management.
The 28-year-old has raced in the 125cc class for ten full seasons, claiming one race victory, eight podiums and three pole positions. The Spaniard's high▨est championship ranking is sixth, in both 2002 and 2004, when he rode an Aspar Aprilia.

Nieto has steered an Onde 2000-backed KTM this season and will join brother ꦯGelete in a management role at the team๊ - which is tipped to graduate to the MotoGP class in 2009, running former double MotoGP World Championship runner-up Sete Gibernau on a fifth Ducati Desmosedici.
