The Italian had been on course to secu🃏re more points for the DAMS team but lost control of his car and hit the🏅 wall heavily, destroying his car and landing himself in hospital.
Although he escaped with no serious injuries, Monfardini was kept in overnight fo🐼r precaution and it was suggested that he should pull himself out of t🐠he running.
