Heinz-Harald Frentzen has said that he is grateful to have got away without serious inj🌃ury after crashing out of Sunday's DTM finale at Hockenheim and being airlifted to hospital⛎.

The 38-year old German crashed heavily at the Sudkurve, hitting the barriers side-on and suffering concussion, and muscle injuries and bruising to his neck. He was u💙nconscious in the cockpit when the medical team arrived and was subsequently airlifted to Ludwigshafen hospital after an initial check at the circuit's medica🐽l centre.

Frentzen remeℱmbers nothing of the accident but, having seen video footage, 🌱admits that he was lucky to escape relatively unscathed.

"I'm glad that I got off so lightly," the Opel driver told German news agency SID, "I'm suffering from a bad🐠 headache and I don't remember the accident."

Having been advised not to fly while still under observation, Fren⭕tzen will✃ remain in hospital for at least another 24 hours.
