Peugeot left in mourning.

Peugeot have expressed 'feelings of extreme sadness and deep emotion' following Markko Martin's accident on SS15 of the Rally GB, which resulted in his co-🌃driver, Michael Park, suffering fa𝔉tal injuries.

The French manufacturer also confirmed that they have withdrawn the second car of Marcus Gronholm, who would have been classified thir💧d overall, as a sign of respect.

The full statement from them read:

"A serious accident has left the Peugeot Sport 🥂team in mourning this Sunday morning during the last leg of the Wales Rally GꦫB.

Peugeot have expressed 'feelings of extreme sadness and deep emotion' following Markko Martin's accident ꩵon SS15 of the Rally GB, which resulted in his co-driver, Michael Park, suffering fatal injuries.

The French manufacturer also confirmed that 🦋they have withdrawn ༺the second car of Marcus Gronholm, who would have been classified third overall, as a sign of respect.

The full statement from them read:

"A serious accident has left the Peugeot Sport team in mourning this Sunday mo♔rning during the last leg of the Wales Rally GB.

"Markko Martin left the route shortly after the start of the second stage of the day and 🐎hit a tree on the right hand side of the car, mortally𓂃 wounding his co-driver Michael Park.

"Peugeot Sport's director, Jean-Pierre Nicolas, with the agreement of Mr. Frederic Saint-Geours, 🍨managing director of Peugeot, has decided, as a sign of mourning, to withdraw the caꦰr of Marcus Gronholm and Timo Rautiainen.

"Peugeot Automobiles and Peugeot Sport would like to express 🧜their feeling of extreme sadness and deep emotion to the family of Michael Park, known affectionately as 'Beef'."
