Not surprisingly, F1 regular, Pizzonia led the way - with a best time of 57.664 seconds, while Priaulx by no means embarrassed himself, 𒀰by lapping around one second slower [his best a 58.624s]. Both drivers completed over 100 laps as they began preparation work for the Monaco Grand Prix in two weeks time.

"This is the fi✨rst time the team has tested at Vallelunga and🌳 it's always interesting to come somewhere new," summed up test team manager, Tim Newton.

"The🐭 circuit in Italy bears the closest resemblance to Monaco, the next raceꦐ on the calendar. Antonio worked on set-ups and tyre casing tests while Andy worked on start settings and cooling tests. The pair completed nearly 900 kilometres.

"On his first day in the FW27, Andy did a good job for the team, 💧especially considering he won the 24-hours race at the weekend and will be at Snetterton for the next two days testing.

"Mark Webber will be taking over from Andy tomorrow to join An🧜tonio for the second of a three day test."
