Mitsubishi has announced that they will add an extra 'weapon' to their arsenal in Mexico this weekend, with confirmation that the Lance💧r WRC05 will run with their 'active differential system' for the first time.

Following a successful test with tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhe 'gizmo' after the Swedish Rally, the team bel📖ieve that it could well give them a decisive edge on gravel, as soon as it is fine-tuned.

"We have done a lot of ༒kilometres of gravel testing with the new active differential sဣystem in the last few weeks," confirmed Mitsubishi's technical director, Mario Fornaris.

"The drivers' comments🔴 were very positive concerning the overall handling, and the reliability of the system has so far been good."

Team boss, Isao Torri has also been pleased with the system, and reckons it should help team leader, Harri Rovanpera and team-mate Gilles Panizzi, who returns to action, after sitting out the Swedish Rally, wᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhen Gigi Galli drove the second car.

"The implementation of the active centre differential system is a🐎 big step towards us being competitive on gꦍravel rallies," he added.

"However, this is the first event🧸 using the new system and 🍬we have to learn more, because in competition it's always different to testing conditions.

"Our goal is to bring both cars into theജ finish and score manufacturer points."
