The Subaru World Rally team look set to confirm their 2005 🔜World Rally Championship driver line-up in the next few weeks, and according to WRC insiders, Daniel Sola, Stephane Sarrazin and Kris Meeke are the favourites to bag the second seat, alongside 2003 World Rally champion, Petter Solberg.

mahbx.com contacted the team for there take, but while a spokesperson stated 💛that no comment could be made, it appears that a decision has been made.

Sola is belie༺ved to be one o♌f the favourites, as he is likely to bring funding.

According to as.com the Spaniard has been in talks with David Richards, who founded the team, as well as team boss, David Lapworth, and sporting di෴rector, Luis Moya.

Sola, who was in negotiation with Ford, swit🍎ched his attentions to the Banbury based team Friday, following the announcement that Roman Kresta will drive the second Focus, alongside To💛ni Gardemeister.

Former F1 ace Sarrazin has also been mentioned, following his impressive performances on the Rallye Catalunya and the Tour de Corse, w🍒here he finished fourth and sixth overall, however he is something of an asphalt specialist.

Colin McRae prot?g?, and Junior WRC competitor, Meeke is thought to be an ou𒊎tsider, and should he get a deal, it is suspected he will only compete on selected events.

Mikko Hirvonen meanwhile is said to be out of favour, and looks likely to b🍸e dropped after a largely unsuccessful 2004.

Colin McRae had been mentioned, but after his comments at the weekend that he doesn't want to take part in all 🍸16-events, it appears ♔he is no longer in the running, although should the team elect to use several drivers in the second car, like Skoda and Mitsubishi, then a partial programme might prove possible.

All the WRC teams have now confir🍌med their 2005🔯 line-ups, except Subaru.
