F1: Palmer handed Suzuka grid penalty after power unit changes

Jolyon Palmer has become the latest driver to be hit with a grid penalty for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix after the Renault Formula 1 team made changes to his power u🍰nit ahead of Saturday's runniꦓng at Suzuka.

FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer confirmed in his Saturday morning report that Renau💛lt had changed the turbocharger, internal combustion engine and MGU-H on Palmer's power unit, amounting to a 20-place grid drop.

Jolyon Palmer has become the latest driver to be hit with a grid penalty for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix after the Renault ൩Formula 1 team made changes to his power unit ahead of S♈aturday's running at Suzuka.

FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer confirmed in his Saturday morning report that Renault had changed the turbocharger, internal combustion𝕴 engine and MGU-H on Palmer's power unit, amountiꦡng to a 20-place grid drop.

Palmer entered the Suzuka weekend hoping to return to form after a tough Ma🍸laysian Grand Prix weekend that saw him spin twice in the race, having scored his first points of the year at the prior event in Singapore.

Palmer is the fourth driver to receive a gr🦹id drop in Japan, following Fernando Alonso (35 places), Carlos Sainz Jr. (20 places) and Valtteri Bottas ൩(five places).

Sainz is also under invest𒈔igation with the stewards for leaving the pit lane under a red light during FP3.
