Formula E releases teaser of Season 5 car with LED Halo

Formula E has given fans a fꦫirst glimpse of its new 'Generation 2' car for Season 5, featuring a 'Halo' cockpit protection device that includes LED lights.

Formula E will reveal the look of its new chassis that will 🔯make its race debut at the start of the fifth season this coming winter when the series doubles the mileage of its batteries, scrapping the in-race car swaps.

Initial on-track testing has already taken place with Porsche factory driver Fre🐈deric Makowiecꦡki, and teams are set to get their first deliveries of the chassis in the coming weeks.

Formula E will digitally unveil renders of the new Generation 2 car - which has already been compared to📖 the fictional Batmobile - on January 30, and gave fans a first taste of the new look with a teaser image posted to Twitter o𓄧n Saturday.

Formula E will release further renders in the next couple of days before the launch, with an official unveil of the physical car schedu🧸led to take place in March at the Geneva⛎ Motor Show.
