WorldSBK test: Sykes, Van Der Mark, Folger complete three days testing at Jerez

Preparations ahead the 2021 WorldSBK season continued for B🍨MW with a three-day test at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto this week.
Tom Sykes, Michael Van Der Mark ꦗand Jonas Folger all took part, with only Eugene Laverty not involved.
The test began on Monday and con🤪cluded yesterday with all three riders involved, as extensive test programmes ♓were carried out.
A lot of BMW's programme involved&nb🍨sp;working on the chassis, testing updates to the en🐈gine, and also to the electronics as BMW introduce their new M 1000 RR package for this year.
Van Der Mark and Folger both make the switch from Yamaha to BMW for the 2021 campaign, while Sykes 🔜remains with the team for a second season.
Like Laverty, Folger will be competing for one of BMW's two new satellite teams this seaso🧸n. The former MotoGP rider will be riding for the Bonovo MGM Racing outfit.
Speaking after the test, Team Principal Sh🌜aun Muir said: "I’m very pleased for Michael and for Tom, they’ve worked together and very hard, and it seems like a very good pairing of teammates.
"My guys and the team have worked very hard too, as have the BMW engineers. I’m very♑ happy with the addition of new personnel within the team as well as a new structure. I hope this allows us to progress and move closer to the front.
"We leave Jerez in a very positive attitude, all the guys in the team can have a couple of days rest and then we will head to the Barcelona t♔est🎶, where we will compare our overall pace and lap times again.
"It is clear that we are in a good area a♔nd we are happy to complete the test and move forward."
