Chicagoland latest to install SAFER barrier.
The increasingly popular SAFER barrier system is to be installed at Chꦰicagoland Speedway in time for the circuit's NASCAR weekend next month.
The system will also be in🎀 plac🐲e for September's visit by the Indy Racing League.

"The safety of our guests as well as competitors at Chicagoland Speedway is extremely important to us, and we are proud to be able to enhance our safety measures with the SAFER wall technology," explained Matthew Alexander, vice-president and general manager of Chicagoland Speedway, "The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Indy𒁏 Racing League and NASCAR have done a tremendous job developing the SAFER wall technology."
The SAFER Barrier at Chicagoland will run continuously for 2289 feet, from the entrance to turn one through the exit of turn two, and 2289 feet from the entrance to turn three through the exit of turn four. An additional section of nearly 1169 feet will run alon🎐g the front stretch tri-oval wall.
