Rodolfo Gonzalez is gearing up to be⛄come the fourth different driver in three race weekends to climb into the cockpit of Dale Coyne Racing's number 18 car after being confirmed on the driver entrꦺy list at Barber Motorsports Park.

The former GP🎐2 driver replaces Conor Daly who finished 17th in Long Beach last weekend. D😼aly had been acting as cover for Rocky Moran Jr who broke his thumb after crashing with Carlos Munoz in a practice session at the California event.

In an ongoing saga, Moran only partnered up with Dale Coyne Racing after Carlos Huertas left the team the night before the Long Beach race weekend due to a breakdown in contract agreements. As a result, Gonzalez becomes the fou🐼rth name to race in the number 18 car.

The Venezuelan has previously competed in 64 races in the GP2 series as well as racing in Euro Formula 3. He also acted as꧙ F1 team Marussia's test driver in 2013🎶 and ran in eight Grand Prix weekend free practice sessions.

Long Beach penalties announced

A number of post-race penalties arising from Sunday's Toyota Grand Prᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚix of Long Beach were announced by the Verizion IndyCar Series officials on Wednesdays.

A crew member of KV Racing Technology has been hande𒆙d a $500 fine for violating Rꦉule 1.2.7.2(f) (fueling without visor down), while a crew member of CFH Racing has to pay $500 for a breach of Rule 7.10.1.11 (crew member not wearing proper attire).

Crew members of A.J. Foyt Enterprises have been penalised a total of $1,500 for violating Rule 7.9.6 (failure to attend equipment during 🍨pit stop💃), Rule 7.10.1.11 (crew member not wearing proper attire) and Rule 7.10.1.12 (too many crew members over pit wall).

The members may contest the imposition of the penalty pursuant to the procedures and timelines detailed 𒀰in the review and appeal procedures of the Verizon IndyCar Series rulebook.
