Dempsey-Proton Racing will build up a spare chassis ahead of Qualifying 2 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans later today after a crash during pr♑actice on Wednesday put its #99 Porsche 911 RSR at risk of missing the race.

Tracy Krohn suffered a high-speed crash on the run to the second chicane on the M♑ulsanne Straight during free practice on Wednesday afternoon, causing💖 significant damage to the #99 Porsche, as well as resulting in a 45-minute red flag delay.

Krohn was transported to hospital where he was kept overnight, but was discharged on Thursday𒆙 morning and is expected to race.

Dempsey꧙-Proton Racing confirmed via Twitter that it was building up 🧸a spare Porsche 911 RSR chassis through the day with the aim of getting back out on-track for Q2, which begins at 7pm local time.

Krohn is set to feature in the race alongside P𓂃atrick Long and Nic Jonsson, with the team also fielding two other Porsche entries in the GTE-Am class.
