Reed penalised for illegal fuel.
AMA Pro Racing has announced that points leader Chad Reed, plus Tyson Hadsell and David Vuillemin, have all been hit by a 25-point penalty after being caught using i🐭llegal fuel at round 14 of the AMA Supercross Series at Texas Stadium on 17 April.
Series manager Steve Whitelock said that fuel samples were collected from seven entries at the Texas round, and that the samples from the three riders were found to be in non-compliance. Fuel from the bikes of Josh Hansen, Mike LaRocco, Ivan Ted🉐esco and Kevin Windham was found to be in compliance.

The fuel samples were sent to ඣa certified testing lab which confirmed that the fuel did not meet the requirements specified in the AMA Supercross/Motocross Rulebook.
The penalty means that Reed's hopes of wr💖apping up the 2004 title this evening in Salt Lake City look remote, since he will now꧂ start the event 15 (instead of 40) points clear of Windham.
