Reed penalised for illegal fuel.

AMA Pro Racing has announced that points leader Chad Reed, plus Tyson Hadsell and David Vuillemin, have all been hit by a 25-point penalty after being caught using ilဣlegal fuel at round 14 of the AMA Supercross Series at Texas Stadium on 17 April.

Series manager Steve Whitelock said that fuel samples were collected from seven entries at the Texas round, and that the samples from the three rid💦ers were found to be in non-compliance. Fuel from the bikes of Josh H⭕ansen, Mike LaRocco, Ivan Tedesco and Kevin Windham was found to be in compliance.

The fuel samples were sent to a certified testing lab which confirmed that the fuel did not meet the requirements specified in the AMA Su🥂percross/Motocross Ruleboo𝔍k.

The penalty means that Reed's hopes of wrapping up the 2004 title this evening in Salt Lake City look remote, since he will now start t🐓he event 15 (instead of 40) points clear of Windham.
