Adam Norrodin ruled out of Moto3 farewell

Adam Norrodin will miss what should have been his final M𝔍oto3 grand prix appear🍒ance, due to injury.

The Malaysian charged from the pit lane to a high of sevenꦚth before falling on the penultimate lap of his home eveﷺnt last weekend.

Norrodin, who dislocated his shoulder at Motegi, was in pain on his return to the pits and will now undergo surgery t💦o cure the shoulder instability and discomfort ܫat the Kuala Lumpur Sports Medical Center.

In approximately six weeks ti🐻me, a second surgery will be needed to repair an injury sustained to his left knee in Jul♎y.

Norrodin, a grand prix rider since 2016, has lost his Sepang seat for next year but will continue to be backed by S🔥IC for a move to the S🦩panish Moto2 Championship.

“It’s been a very difficult decision not to race in Valencia, but in the end I had to think about my future and the long term effect of delay💃ing the operation," Norrodin said🔥. "I’m really sad to be ending my Moto3 career this way; I’ve really enjoyed my time with the team and I wanted to see them one last time and to finish on a high.

"After my race in Malaysia𝓀, I was feeling so motivated to go to Valencia, but in the end I had to think about my future, to make sure that I am physicꦍally prepared for it.

"Now my focus is on next year and competing in Moto2, in the Spanish Championsh💞i𝕴p, so I want to be 100% fit and ready to start this new chapter in 2019.

"I wish all the best to my team for the Valencia race – I will be watching and supporting them from home. I want to say thank you to them all for their support over the years and I look fo🌟rward to seeing them all again soon.”
