MotoGP Misano: Knife injury for Cal Crutchlow

Cal Crutchlow is hoping to be fit♓ for this weekend's Misano MotoGP despite a knife-cut causing tendon damage to the index finger on his left hand.

The LCR Honda MotoGP rider suffered the injury in an accide💝nt at🐻 his training base in Italy, on Sunday.

This morning he was admitted to Pistoia Hospital for surgery to reattach the tendon, then travelled to t🍌he Parma headquarters of the Clinica Mobile, where he was evaluated by Dr. Michele Zasa and Dr. Luca Guardoli.

Cal Crutchlow🍨 is hoping to be fit for this weekend's Misano MotoGP despite a knife-cut causing tendon damage to the index finger on his left hand.

The LCR Honda MotoGP rider suffered the 🔯injury in an accident at his training base in Ital🥂y, on Sunday.

This morning he was admitted to Pistoia Hospital for surgery to re𒅌attach the tendon, then travelled to the Parma headquarters of the Clinica Mobile, where he wa꧃s evaluated by Dr. Michele Zasa and Dr. Luca Guardoli.

Due to the location of the injury, it was decided to create a custom-made splint🅺 in co🅷operation with hand specialist Dr. Silvio Tocco.

"Unfortunately, I slic𝔍ed my finger with a kn🉐ife yesterday and it severed the tendon on my left index finger," Crutchlow explained.

"I slept on it, but as the bleeding continu🌜ed this morning, I went to the Emergency Room at Pistoia Hospital, where I was examined by Dr. Riccardo Simonti who discovered that the 🌄tendon was severed.

"I then had an operation on my finger to r🐬🥃eattach the tendon and then stitch it all back up.

“✅I was taken care of very well at the hospital, they did a good job. Since then I visited a h𝕴and specialist in Parma who made me a splint for the finger to give me every opportunity to ride at my best this weekend for the San Marino GP.

"I am sure it will be difficult, but I will try one hundred percen𓂃t as always. Let’s see how it goes.”

Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi is already confirmed as missiওng the Misano round due to injury.
