SERT has been formed and is led by Lars ?? 1/2 Lasse?? 1/2 Nilsson, a former motocross and road racing competitor. He has 🥃also been a mechanic in Endurance VM and🥂 STCC competitions.
The team has also brought popular former Manx Grand Prix and TT racer Mats Nilsson on board as the team TT liaison officer. The rest of the team includes Per ?? 1/2 Backis?? 1/2 Backstrom (technical responsibility and chassis🥀), Christoffer Alwen (Mechanical design and testing) and Project Manager Peter Rosenquist.
Rider Palmer, 47, has a very credible record at the TT, with three wins andꦡ four podiums since his debut in 1990, enjoying particular success in the lightweight (250cc) and Ultra-lightweight (125cc) classes.
Lars Nilsson said:
?? 1/2 We bought the Honda CBR 600RR because the frame design is well suited to convert to a🔯n electric system and since the new parts are about the same weight and placement we expect 𝓀the handling to be very similar to the original bike.?? 1/2
?? 1/2 We are all really thrilled to be participating in th🐬e world?? 1/2 s greatest motorcycle race although we have a lot of work between now and June to get the bike ready. The TT is the ultimate challenge for an electric motorcycle and we are looking forward to the task.?? 1/2
Isle of Man Tourism and L🍌eisure Minister Martyn Quayle added:
?? 1/2 We are delighted to welcome our first Sc🥃andinavian team to TT Zero and are really looking f💦orward to seeing them put their technology to the test around the Mountain Course.?? 1/2
