French rider Franck Petricola is 'serious but stable' following an accident during practice for the Superstock class at the North West 2🐼00 on Tuesday.

The 31-year-oldౠ, a newcomer to the event, came off his ▨BMW machine at the Primrose corner section of the circuit with minutes of the session remaining.

He was treated at the scene before being aiꦯrlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital 🌳in Belfast.

Mr Petricola is in the intensive care unit but his inj🐈uries are said to be 'non-life threatening'.

He was riding for the Ice Valle💛y BMW Team on hi🍃s debut at the 8.9-mile circuit.
