Stone Brothers Racing co-owner Ross Stone says he is re🎶lieved after the V8 Supercar Court of Appeal reinstated Marcos Ambrose as the leader of the championship.

Ambrose was docked 192 p🦋oints following the weekends Queensland 300 when a wire was found connected to the ECU on his Ford Falcon.

However, the appeal c෴ourt has now decided to return the points and halve the $10,0🤡00 fine imposed on the team, a decision Stone felt was fair.

"This is obviously a very pleasing result for us," he said. At the end of the day the system has not let us down and that is important.🍃 I thought it was very fair tonight and handled very professionally.

"It was important for our team to maintain its integrity and this decision allows us t🔥o do that. We just want to put this behind us now and get on with winning another championship.

"We were hopeful of success because of the work we had done on our case, but you just never know. So many members of our team worked on getting our submission together and I have to thank our Technical Director K💝en Douglas for his tireless efforts and his presentation to the panel♉ tonight."

Ambrose was understandably relieved to reclaim his lead in the s🦩tandings as he aims to retain the V8 Supercar Championship.

"I guess I just feel a great sense of relief," he said. "SB💯R are a dedicated, honest and hard-working race team that really did no🅷t deserve to be in this situation.

"Hopefully now the stress levels can return to normal and we can put our heads d🦂own for the rest of the season. It is nice to be rewarded for all the hard work last weekend and be back in th♊e championship lead."

Stephen Kruk, operations manager for Ford Racing, was also thri🍌lled at the outcome of the hearing in Melbourne.

"Ford is delighted with tonight's outcome," he said. "It upholds the faultless integrity of Stone Brothers Racing. Obviously it is great to have Marcos back 🤡in the lead of the champi🌳onship and now we can celebrate his great victory at Queensland.
