Noriyuki Haga says he will be𓆏 riding for 'as many points as possible' in the latest round of the World Superbike Championship💧 at Brno after confirming he will participate in the event.
Championship leader Haga's title hopes were thrown into jeopardy following the previous Donington Park round after an acciden﷽t in the second race of the day landed him in hospital with a suspected fractured vertebra.
However, further tests would see his injuries downgraded to a fractured ulna, as well as a painful shoulder, ailments that have ensured Haga is able to make the trip to the Czech Republic❀.
Even so, having missed the two-day 🦋mid-season test at Imola, the Japanese rider admits he isn't quite at the peak of physical fitness, 🐷meaning he has his sights set firmly on fighting for points.
"After the crash at Donington I'ꦺve been doing a lot of physiotherapy in order to get back into shape as quickly as possible and in time for Brno," said the Ducati Xerox rider. "It's a pity I couldn't take part in the Imola testing as that would have been very useful but it was jus♍t too soon and it's more important to be fit to race.
"I'm not sure that my arm and shoulder will💛 be 100% by the weekend but I'm confident I'll be ready for theไ races and will fight to take as many points as possible."
