Bayliss is hugely keen on cycling and is well known for do🏅ing many miles o🍰n his pushbike to train and keep fit in and around Monte Carlo where he lives.

The double World Champion was cycling in the town෴ doing his regular tr🍸aining routine. He and his personal trainer were on a downhill stretch of road at the time when Bayliss was thrown from his bike after hitting a manhole.

He sl꧃id down the road and was fortunate to avoid being hit by pass𒁏ers-by in their cars.

Luckily the injuries sustained by Bayliss are relatively minor and will not prevent him fo༒r racing at Assen; cuts and bruises and a sore back; but the Aussie, in his last year of motorcycle racing, was forced to delay his flight to the Netherlands.

He will also have a check-up at the travelling🎉 mobile clinic before the weekend's on-track action begins.
