𓃲Kimi Raikkonen is nursing a sore back after crashing into the tyre wall as a result of his invo🐟lvement in a clash on the first corner of the Turkish Grand Prix.

Paying the price somewhat for starting down in seventh🦩 place, Raikkonen attempted to avoid the melee unfolding in front of him but was instead hit in the rear by Scott Speed, causing what seemed to be just a puncture, despite Raikkonen's claims over the radio that the rear-wing was damaged.

Coasting his rapidly disintegrating McLaren-Mercedes back to the pit lane, Raikkonen returned on t🃏rack, albeit a lap down, only to spin off again at lap four, hitting the barrier and putting an end to a disappointi𝕴ng weekend for the 2005 winner.

It is the second race in a row that Raikkonen's race has ended with a hefty repair bill after his incident with the other Toro Rosso of Vitantonio Liuzzi in Hungary. Nonetheless, while Raikkonen was frustrat💦ed by his early exit, he was accepts there was little else he could do.

"It got very messy at the start," he said. "I tried to avoid a spinning Fisichella, but then Speed hit my left rear tyre causing a puncture. I drove for almost a whole lap with a damaged tyre in order to get b🌜ack to the pits to see what could be done. The team changed my tyre, but I think the car must have incurred quite a lot of damage at this point.

"When I rejoined the race, I came into Turn💦 4, had no rear end grip, got sideways, ran out of road, hit the tyrewall and that was it. My back is a bit sore but nothing to worry about. I'm obviously disappointed that my race was over so quickly, but there was nothing we could do."
