Grosjean keen on ‘lovely’ Renault return in the future
Romain Grosjean is hopeful of returning to R🐠enault’s Formula 1 team at some point in the future when he can fight for a worldܫ championship, but has called a 2018 comeback “premature”.
Grosjean made his F1 debut with Renault ♛back in 2009 before ♈returning to the Enstone operation - which had become Lotus - in 2012, remaining there until the end of the 2015 season.
Grosjean has since joined Haas and is set to remain with the American team for a third year in 2018, as confirmed by team o☂wner Gene Haas la🐟st month.

“It was not such a big surprise for 🐭me, I’ve known this since September 2015. So I would call it a normal continuation, and things are great,” .
“The team is doing well and I want to help it grow bigger. Of course, if oneꦕ day there is the chance to be world champion, then great.”
Renault is known to be evaluating a number of drivers for a seat in 2018 alongside Nico Hulkenberg, with Grosjean linked given his history with the brand and the notion of a French driver representing a French teamꦚ.
Grosjean denied having spoken with Renault about ♔a 2018 seat, but did ad༒mit he would like to return to the team some day.
“𝄹No, I haven’t talked with Renault,” Grosjean said.
“Going back to Renault one day would be lovely, but it should be the time when we really could be world 🔯champions toget🔴her.
“That would be a superb situation, but ri♔ght now it is a bit premature.”
