Co🃏lin Edwards will not be able to keep his perfect record of MotoGP race starts, since his 2003 debut, intact after failing a medical.

The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider broke his collarbone in Friday practice at♓ Catalunya, then underwent surgery on Saturday morning.

The Texan's plan was to start Sunday's race🍬 from the back of the grid, then do a lap before pulling into the pits, but he has unsurprisingly been declared not fit to race.

Edwards joked that maybe he 💃doesn't have th♛e right passport.

There will thus b꧂e only 15 riders for this afternoon's main event, meaning anyone that finishes is guaranteed at least a point.

Edwards looks set to ♉try and ride at Silverstone next weekend, with Gresini's Hiroshi Aoyama tipped to get Dani Pedrosa's Repsol Honda.
