Whyte gets Yamaha chance at Kyalami

Sh🍌aun Whyte will join Sheridan Morais in making his World Superbik🌌e Championship debut at Kyalami after being drafted in to replace David Checa at Yamaha GMT 94.

Checa will return to the series for the next European event at Misano, the team choosing to give Zimbabwean Whyte the chance to impress having begun the season well in the Sou𒀰th African Superbike Championship.

Shaun Whyte will join Sheridan Morais in making his Wo𒐪rld Superbike Championship debut at Kyalami after being drafted in to replace David Checa at Yamaha GMT 94.

Checa will return to the series for the next European event at Misano, the team choosing to give Zimbabwean Whyte the chance to impress having begun the s༺eason well in the South African Superbike Championship.

Yamaha rider Whyte, 39, brings a wealth of experience to the WSBK having begun his career 25 years ago and is one of five new or returning faces to the grid th﷽is weekend, joining SA SBK rival M♉orais, Gregorio Lavilla, Fonsi Nieto and Steve Martin.

Meanwhile, Yamaha GMT 94 will 🌼have American rider Erwan Nigon competing for t💜hem at the following Miller Motorsports Park round.
